Cincinnati Reds left-hander Aroldis Chapman broke the 100 mph mark once again, pitching twice that registered 103 mph on the radar gun on his way to a 6-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. This is his second straight no-hitter performance.
With an earlier St. Louis Cardinals loss to the Houston Astros, the Reds have stretched their lead over the defending NL Central champions to eight games. The Reds have never led by this much in 15 years, the last time they made it beyond the regular season.
The Reds head in to the weekend for another series with the Cardinals, this time bringing with them their sensational 22-year old pitcher from Cuba.
Still fresh from a brawl in their previous series back in August, the Reds look to further extend their lead while the Cardinals fight to survive to make it past the regular season.
