Latest Update: The result of the 2010 Little League World Series Championship is finally announced! Tokyo beats Waipahu in the 2010 Little League World Series championship game. The final score is 4-2 , in favor of Japan. This team is the first team from Japan to capture the Little League World Series title in 7 years!
Konan Tomori blasted a home run and had three RBIs for Tokyo who also snapped the United States’ five year stranglehold on the title.
Japan held Hawaii to just 4 singles after the Americans scored a whopping 29 runs in their first three games. Isn’t it amazing? Congratulations to the little guys of Japan being this year’s 2010 Little League World Series champions!
The Japan won the Little League World Series 2010 with an impressive record of 5-0 against the Hawaii. They are now considered as the first international team to have won since 2004 and they were the team who won in 2003.
Apparently, with a combination of stellar defense, disciplined hitting, and aggressive baserunning, the boys from team Japan gave a 4-2 victory against Hawaii, clinching Japan’s seventh Little League World Series Championship.
“No slight to the 2008 kids, but I’ve said it before: These 2010 kids are very bright,” Ariyasu said.
“I was so happy, I wasn’t thinking about anything,” said Ichiro Ogasawara, who earned his third save of the tournament with three scoreless innings.

The Japan vs Hawaii championship match will be held today, Sunday at exactly 4:00 pm ET. The consolation game between the Texas and Chinese Taipei already held at 11:00 am ET. The game will be held live at the Lamade Stadium.
Apparently, we have seen an impressive match yesterday as Japan dominated the game against the Chinese Taipei and advance to finals now with Hawaii. Ryo Motegi shows a great advantage to the game and brought Japan to the finals after hitting a two-out grounder into the infield. At the end, an emotional game win of 3-2 was in favour of Japan on the 7th inning.
Hawaii, truly dominated the game against Texas after producing an impressive score of 10-0 in the second game of the US championship match. The Hawaii team will continue the United States streak of 5 Little League World Championship in a row and the Waipahu’s second in 3 consecutive years.
Meanwhile, it’s the first time of Japan to reach and advance the Championship match since 2007.
