Mike Richards scored two goals for the second game together with Sergei Bobrovsky who stopped 28 shots to lead the upbeat Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-1 win over the Ottawa Senators yesterday, November 15, 2010. During the last night’s events, there were key players who donated schematic moves to lead Flyers on its way to the top. Danny Briere, Claude Giroux and Darroll Powe contributed points for the Flyers with 9-0-1 in their past 10 games.
During the first period, there was a moment that the game was paused when a young girl was struck in the head when a puck deflects on the stand. There were attention provided from the medical team with regards to the incident.
The Flyers obviously displayed an attentive play since they have lost a round to the Senators last October. Kimmo Timonen and Powe muscled together to retake the lead at 12:17 with a penalty free first period. The shot which Timonen blew from the blue line was deflected by Powe’s stick in the air, then deflected iff the ice and away to Elliot’s shoulder.
