The proposed third boxing match between world pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12, 2011 should never happen. Since beating Marquez via split decision in March 2008, Pacquiao has easily disposed of David Diaz, Oscar dela Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Joshua Clottey, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito and most recently Shane Mosley at higher weight classes.

The title at stake was at super featherweight the last time Pacquiao and Marquez fought.
