The World Snooker Championship is now on going at the Crucible in Sheffield on Saturday. Ronnie O’Sullivan bis getting ready to secure his fourth world title.

Last year, O’Sullivan was defeated by Mark Allen. He now faces a tough match this Monday against Liang Wenbo, one of three Chinese players who joined the championship.

Defending champion John Higgins starts the event on Saturday against Barry Hawkins. On the other hand, Six-time winner Steve Davis plays in his 30th Championship so far.

In 2001, O’Sullivan won the first of his titles. He won another title in 2004 and another one in 2008. He has occasionally been criticized for his unexplained attitude towards the sport, but despite of the critics, he never got affected and continued to play and do his best to win.

O’Sullivan said in an interview that “When you feel like you’re letting yourself down, you’re wasting your time, and nobody’s having a good time and they’re waiting for something to happen and it ain’t happening. That can be quite demoralising sometimes because everybody wants to make someone happy. My way of doing that is through playing good snooker. And when I’m not playing well I get disappointed.”

O’Sullivan already faced the Liang in the 2nd round of the World Championship in 2008 and lost the first two frames before going on to win 13-7. But still, he never got disappointed and continued what he’s doing best.

Liang was runner-up to O’Sullivan a month later in the Shanghai Masters, having won his maiden professional title by defeating Stephen Maguire in the final to land the Beijing International in July 2009.

This year, O’Sullivan will probably face another former champion, Mark Williams. But that will only happen if he deafets Marcus Campbell in round one.
