UFC on Versus 3 Results: Sanchez vs Kapmann Fight Card Results – The UFC on Versus 3 is about to finish and we will report the results here. The UFC on Versus 3 is currently being held live at Louisville, Kentucky which started off 9pm Eastern Time.

In the main fight card of the UFC on Versus 3, two great mixed martial arts fighters will again battle for another bout title.  Former UFC lightweight contender Diego Sanchez will fight against Xtreme Couture fighter Martin Kampmann in a welterweight showdown that could put the victory in line for a shot at contention.

Sanchez is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Paulo Thiago at UFC 121, his second bout in his return to welterweight. The Ultimate Fighter 1 Middleweight winner lost badly in his bid for the UFC lightweight title to BJ Penn at UFC 107 which prompted him to return to welterweight. Upon his move back up to welterweight, he lost via unanimous decision to John Hathaway. Since then he went back to train with Jackson’s Submission Fighting for his bout with Thiago and it yielded good results.

Meanwhile, Kampmann is coming off a split decision loss to former Strikeforce Middleweight and Elite XC Welterweight champion Jake Shileds. Despite being the underdog going up against Sanchez on Thursday, Kampann sees this match as his way back on track to being a welterweight contender. Kampmann has a variety of submission moves and has the edge in striking against Sanchez.
